Winemaking

For the past 18 years, winemaker Douglas Danielak has made wine at some of the Napa Valley’s most respected wineries. Influenced by all things French, the Michigan State University graduate received a BA in French International Relations prior to spending two years at the Lycée Agricole et Viticole de Beaune in Burgundy. At that time he worked with Rebecca Wasserman at Le Serbet where he gained in-depth knowledge of barrels and coopering while escorting top winemakers to Francois Frères and Taransaud cooperages. Douglas received a BS in Viticulture and Enology from U.C. Davis and has held winemaking positions at Jade Mountain, White Rock and Paras Vineyards, where he also works today. His award-wining wines have received both praise and high scores, making him a winemaker to watch.
