Our unique mountain site allows us to harvest Sauvignon Blanc at optimal maturity of 23.5º brix while retaining vibrant acidity – just one of the keys to producing our wonderful Sauvignon Blanc. 2009 was ideal, with a long cool growing season. Vibrant straw color with a greenish tinge. The nose features bright fruit aromas, hinting of fresh green apple, melon, kiwi, lemongrass and key lime pie. A floral note provides a dramatic accent. The flavors are refreshing, bold and focused, and mirror the nose. Balanced acidity is present throughout, building to a lengthy minerally finish. Cases produced: 150 |

Our Chardonnay is planted on alluvial soils that supplemented the near perfect weather that was textbook for Chardonnay production — cool mornings with fog, and warm day that allowed the grapes to ripen to an optimal sugar level while retaining their bright acidity. The 2009 growing season provided warm days with a significant drop in evening temperatures — near perfect growing conditions. The color is a straw gold with a slight green tinge. The fruit character is a compelling mix of lemon meringue, Bartlett pear, ripe apple, refreshing citrus, nutmeg, orange blossom, and sweet vanilla. The taste mirrors the nose with a hint of toasty oak in the full and long finish and is smooth and balanced with a touch of minerality. Cases produced: 110 |

In 2007 the growing season started early, but with the mild summer days the grapes had an extended ripening period that allowed the development of concentrated flavors. Our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon comes from three distinct blocks composed of three soil types: volcanic-ash tufa, ryolitic volcanic soils, and iron rich alluvials. Because of these rocky volcanic soils, the vines produce intensely colored fruit with dark fruit flavors. Vibrant blackberry, black cherry, coco, lavender, violets, hazelnut, tobacco, cedar and minerality lead the way to a long finish with silky tannins. Cases produced: 75 |

The California Grand Cru of the new world, To Kalon (Greek for “highest beauty”) has produced many legendary wines of extraordinary terroir, including 100 point scores from Robert Parker. The fruit from Beckstoffer’s Oakville Bench estate contains several blocks of clones 4, 6 and 337. Planted in the mid 1990s, the clay loam of these blocks helps produce small, intensely concentrated clusters. Cases produced: 75 |

Le Chevalier comes from gravelly loam soils where the vines produce intensely colored fruit with dark fruit flavors and hints of cocoa. The long growing season of 2007 provided the grapes an extended ripening period that allowed the development of complex flavors and soft tannins. Deep, dark ruby color with a hint of garnet. Elegant, complex, well-integrated and rich. Attractive aroma mingles cassis, blackberry fruit, spice, violets, sweet cedar, leather, vanilla, earth and salami. Flavors mirror the aroma with rich texture and a long minerally finish. Cases produced: 75 |
